khabar 36 Garh is news sipat news: Two talented athletes of Bal Bharati Public School, NTPC Sipat have brought laurels to the school with their outstanding performance at the CBSE Far East Zonal Taekwondo Championship, held in Purulia, West Bengal, from 19th to 22nd July 2026.
In the Under-19 Boys’ category, Tanmay Singh Kshatri clinched the Gold Medal in the Under 73 kg weight category, while Gautam Nirmalkar secured the Silver Medal in the Under 48 kg weight category. Their impressive performances earned them selection for the CBSE National Under-19 Taekwondo Championship.
The National Championship will be held from 20th to 24th September 2026 at Bal Vikas Progressive School, Panipat, Haryana, where Tanmay Singh Kshatri and Gautam Nirmalkar will represent the school in their respective weight categories.
Other school athletes also showcased commendable performances. Rakshit Sahu competed in the Under-14 Boys’ category; Anisha Sahu in the Under-17 Girls’ Under 49 kg category; Arshita Tamrakar in the Under-19 Girls’ Under 55 kg category; and Divyanshi Ratre in the Under-17 Girls’ Under 63 kg category.
Congratulating the players, Principal Shri Shalabh Nigam highlighted the vital role of sports in the holistic development of students, fostering discipline, confidence, perseverance and determination.
